I promised an update if/when appropriate. There is now some doubt as to the original id. The NPWS reps could not find the bird on Saturday. A number of birders from the Gold Coast looked on Saturday and Sunday without success and no new reports have come in. One Gold Coast birder spent several hours in the area without seeing one crow of any type. He saw nothing else worth mentioning either.
