Apologies to all of you (especially Russell) for using this mailing list in this way BUT IT'S URGENT ! I'm asking people to please write in the next week to as many politicians as possible asking for a proper marine sanctuary at Ricketts Point. This will of course help the birds as well as other marine life. The government is consulting about the boundaries and the anglers will probably be asking for the sanctuary to be less than that recommended by the Environment Conservation Council. Please contact me for sample letters, arguments etc. Michael Norris Bayside Friends of Native Wildlife Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
