Alas, no Scarlet-chested Parrots on Friday morning, either - though I did
get a flock of 30 Black-eared Miners, which was a bit of a consolation for
a long trip. I think I know the reason for the original showing up of the
parrots and their disappearnce from Thurdsay. The Weekend was very hot -
40 degrees at Gluepot. I think that they probably need to drink only in
very hot weather. But by Wednesday, it had coooled down to a pleasant
outumn temperature. So my advice is: wait till it's stinking hot!
