You blokes are good. I mean you're apples. And Bob's your uncle and all that.
My wife and I just returned from a two week visit to Australia and the Aussie hospitality was most evident and greatly appreciated. You live in a beautiful country. Ta to all the birders and Birding-Aus members who provided advice, encouragement and information. Special thanks to Jack Krohn for a whirlwind birding day around Melbourne (97 species). Compliments to Phil Hansbro Richard Baxter of Birding Tours Australia who took me around the Newcastle area for 2 days of excellent birding (130 species). Thanks, too, to Richard Nowotny, Reg Clark, Russell Woodford, Trevor Quested, Wim Vader, Brenda Scott, John Gamblin, Michael Norris, and Greg Anderson for taking the time to send me helpful input. And to Barbara Passmore who introduces me to birding contacts the world over. I can only hope that we US birders will return the favor to any of you who get a chance to bird over this way. Thanks, Tom Harrison La Canada, California USA |
