Hi everybody -

Just had a talk to Duncan MacKenzie, Chair of the Gluepot Reserve
Management Committee. He says that for the last four mornings, including
this morning, a party of 4-5 Scarlet-chested Parrots has been coming in to
drink at the House Dam between 7 and 8:30 AM. Also, last week some 2-300
Regent Parrots were recorded drinking at Whistler Tank in the Reserve.
This is a quite a big chunk of the estimated population. Duncan says
visitors are welcome and Gluepot has good camping facilities.

Birds Australia Gluepot Reserve is situated in the Murray Mallee of South
Australia, a bit over an hour's drive north of the SA Riverland town of
Waikerie. For more information about Gluepot, including access details and
conditions, see Peter Waanders' excellent website at:
http://www.riverland.net.au/gluepot/

Cheers,
Hugo
