Glenn Holmes found a Malayan Night Heron feeding on the road near the Pink House. It was successfully twitched by David James. It could not be relocated yesterday. While David was looking for the Night Heron he found a winter plumaged male Watercock which has also been subsequently very elusive. There is a male White Wagtail at the rubbish tip and a Pin-tailed Snipe is also present nearby. Other unusual records for the island this week include a Black Bittern,Striated Heron and Great Egret.
