PS Looks like there are a few of us who only had dead crakes on our lists (not really "ticked" of course) for some time. My first two Spotless Crakes both died as a result of sudden impact with my car wing-mirror - on the same stretch of road, at night, a couple of years apart! The second one smashed the mirror which I suppose evened up the score a little. Some of you will know the spot - "Three Mile Lane", the straight stretch of the Mt Lindesay Highway immediately south of Beaudesert, Qld. I can't recall seeing live Spotless Crakes in Qld yet!
