Hi Birders
For those people contemplating a trip to see the
Yellow Wagtails at the Ash Island Ponds keep a look our for other interesting
birds, particularly along Wagatil Way and the northern part of the Swan Pond, in
that Aimee Hutchinson, the Birds Australia Project Officer for the wetland
project there saw a Ruff on Monday 4/3/02. In addition a Pectoral Sandpiper
has recently been seen in the same general area not to mention the usual
Sharp-tailed & Marsh Sandpipers, Avocets and Black-winged Stilts, Spotted
Crakes and Buff-banded Rails.
