Interestingly it's not lack of action that's the problem - there's a lot of
work (almost too much and lacking coordination) being done in terms of studies,
investigations, action plans, strategies etc. both for the river Murray and the
Coorong. There is also a lot of on-ground stuff happening but it's not more
than tinkering around the edges. It's the lack of political willpower to act on
the recommendations tackling the real problems that causes the degradation to
continue.
