 If it is, I fear you may have to kiss them goodbye.  Having attended 2 NSW
"duck" rescues in the past  I've always considered that they should be
referred to as "wildlife" rescues.  Many birds we rescued and/or retrieved
were as far from a duck species as you could get. ie; think target practice.
