The Long-Toed Stint was still at Edithvale Wetlands late on Sunday afternoon, I am delighted to say as by curiosity at so many cars there each time I passed on other missions, I was finally able to stop in. Fortunately there were still excited experts there to point out the differences from the Sharp Tailed Sandpipers as they all rested just a couple of metres from the hide. It was the first time I've seen the volunteers on duty have trouble moving people out to lock the hide after 5pm.
I had made the mistake of not re-subscribing to Birding Aus after a trip, and nearly missed out on a new bird. Thanks Denise - clever girl.
