Hi Birders,
Steve Anyon-Smith's finding a Superb Fruit-Dove at Royal NP on 3/2/02 is a good record, and somewhat earlier than usual for Superb Fruit-Doves to appear in the Sydney Region (usually March-April). I wonder whether the Tropical Low that bought heavy rain to the Sydney Region since last Thursday night has anything to do with it because another tropical bird turned up on Friday! An adult Red-footed Booby was washed ashore, still alive onto Nobby's Beach, Newcastle on 1 February and died in the care of the Native Animal Trust on 2/02/02.

This will the 4th Red-footed Booby for NSW!

I have heard rumours of a Red-tailed Tropic-bird being blown inland to Bathurst in NSW in the last day or too, can anyone confirm?
