HANZAB gives the southern limit of Bush-hen in NSW as 'Restricted to
Northern Rivers district, S to Wardell ... formerly S to Grafton'. This
largely reflects Morris et al.'s Handlist of Birds in NSW.
I have an UNVERIFIED, possible sighting from the northern side of Coffs
Harbour, at one of the resorts, from 18 July 1998. I should no doubt
send to this to the NSW Rarities Committee for them to dismiss (!)(and
until I do, it must remain an unverified report). I haven't anything
else from round here, or any other southern records.

Would anybody know how far south do Bush-hens go down the NSW coast in
their
distribution? Was there a record last year from Port Macquarie/Coffs
Harbour
if I heard right.
