On the 19th Jan while checking on the Little Tern colony at Lake Conjola on the south coast of NSW there was 1 Fairy Tern. This bird was has colour flags and I have just received confirmation. It was banded as a juvenile in Gippsland, Victoria, 13th Mar 1999 and was a female as it was fed a fish by its partner that was a Little Tern. I will be heading down there this weekend and see if it is still there. Another new bird.
