Hello all, Just a quick note to advise all those birdos who recorded the South Island Pied Oystercatcher at WoodyPoint/Clontarf last year that they can now officially add it to their list. I have just received confirmation of the sighting from the Birds Australia Rarities Committee (BARC); this is now accepted as the 4th Australian record and the 2nd Queensland record. Unfortunately, I have not sighted the SIPO again since early November 2001. Bob Inglis Woody Point Queensland Australia.
