Hi All,
Just a quick note to inform that a pair of Spotless Crakes were performing well from the hide at Buckley's Hole, Bribie Island yesterday (18 Dec 01) at around 1pm. Also recently I downloaded a world sibley-monroe checklist and it lists at species # 5793 Eastern Riflebird (Ptiloris intercedens) Does anyone have any idea about this reference? Could it be an extinct bird?
The list is as:
5792 Ptiloris magnificus Magnificent Riflebird
5793 Ptiloris intercedens Eastern Riflebird
5794 Ptiloris victoriae Victoria's Riflebird
5795 Ptiloris paradiseus Paradise Riflebird

Look forward to hearing from you,
Tom
