5 Freckled Duck reported this morning to the Bird Observers
Club of Australia at Nunawading.  This sighting is now
confirmed - Blackburn Lake, Melway Ref 48 C11, on the
western side under the Night-Heron roosting area.  One
Freckled Duck with slight red tinge on base of bill - all
quite restless and reasonably active. Howard Plowright
