Subject: | Bee-eater Nest Tunnel Length? |

Hello All,At work today I had a request from a lady who wanted to know how long is a Bee-eater's nesting tunnel. Apparently she was concerned that nearby construction work on an irrigation channel might cause the destruction of the nest. I suggested that it would be less than one metre but it I had to admit that I didn't know for sure. I've since read that Cayley says that the hole tends to be between 1 and 3 feet. So, does anyone have any further observations on this matter?
