Congratulations on getting the book into print Denise.
I look forward to getting a copy, though unfortunately I'll probably
have to wait a while since I'm off travelling before the launch.
The 'book review' has aroused my curiosity - it sounds like a huge
book. It's good to see some aboriginal perspective too, with
Denise's "relations" passing on some of their traditional knowledge.
It must be the time for NT bird books. A book on the birds of
Groote Eylandt will be out soon as well (not by me, by the way).
Whilst it will undoubtedly be very different from Denise's, it also
draws directly and indirectly on the bird knowledge of some of the
indigenous inhabitants of the island, as well as on reports by early
explorers and on modern day systematic research. I'm looking
forward to getting a copy, though I'll have to wait a while for that
one too.
Happy birding, and watch out - I might just run into you on my
travels over Christmas. So if you see a tall guy with a beard and
binoculars, it could be me! Or any number of others of course...
