Boat trips for penguins, Melbourne

I believe some boat operators, running from either St Kilda or from
Southgate, have trips which go out into the Bay to see penguins,
dolphins, other wildlife. 
Has anyone had experience of these?
I ould be very grateful for information re cost, length of trip, name of
firm etc. Are they suitable for children?
