Hi all, I've lived here in the NE suburbs of Adelaide since 1966 and have just recently recorded two new species for my home list. The first is Brown Goshawk (chased by a large group of Noisy Miners and Magpie-larks) and the second, more significant species is Yellow-tailed Black Cockatoo, four of them flying over my place two days ago. Sure, Yellow-tails are well documented through much of the Adelaide hills and down into SE suburbs like the Waite Institute grounds (lots of big pine trees there), but this is the first time I've seen them in my area, probably heading for the pines around Thorndon Park reservoir.
