We're visiting from the UK in December and having previously spent some time
birding in Australia, we're now keen to catch up with several tricky birds
that have so far eluded us. We'll be spending time in Cairns, Brisbane and
near Shepparton, Vic. We'd be very grateful for any up-to-date site info.
for the following:
Little Curlew, Oriental Pratincole, Oriental Cuckoo, Glossy Black Cockatoo,
Asiatic Dowitcher, Grass Owl, Lewin's Rail, Painted Snipe (Abberton our best
bet?), Red Rumped Swallow (still possible at Newell Beach, Qld?).
