Thanks to Steve Clark for passing on that very sad news. I knew that Graham
was very ill, but it came as a shock nonetheless to hear that he had died.
Graham Pizzey's contribution to the literature and promotion of ornithology,
and natural history generally, in Australia has been absolutely magnificent.
On top of all that, he was a genuinely lovely man - generous, knowledgable
and committed. He was very supportive and encouraging to me when I was a young
naturalist 20-odd years ago, and I owe something of my enthusiasm for natural
history to him.
He'll be very sadly missed by many who knew him.
