Hi Birding-aussers, this is not an advert as these trips as with the other venues are non-profit, research driven. Just before the Ashmore Reef trip I received a phone call from Steve McCourt (ex Sea World) wanting to know why I'd severed ties with Sea World. He said he was getting a new boat and would I be interested in starting up again. Would I !!

I rang him this morning for more details, he gets the boat this week and we can take it for a trial hopefully before Xmas with the view to resuming monthly pelagics from Jan. 2002.
The vessel is a 10 metre Cougarcat with a speed of 26 knots which will get us into Slope waters in just over an hour. It will carry 2 crew and 12 pax. Price to be negotiated at this point, will keep everyone informed. By the way Tony R this will mean you can finally get one of those Chooks called Tahiti Petrel, or have you already done so. Cheers - Paul Walbridge.
