It's good to see some discussion on this topic and I was interested to read
of Jeremy's recording methods.  But it also worries me that twitchers,
perhaps innocently, are likely to mis-use these too easily-accessed birdsong
recordings in the field, by using the songs for playback just so they can
then tick off that species.  Some bird species may abandon their territories
when playback is used.  But for learning and studying bird calls, CD and
Minidisk and MP3 etc. are certainly ideal.
