Is there a night-bird that makes a call like it was clearing its throat,
or like it was rubbing the material (with things you can burst) which is
used as packaging material, a rasp of sorts. A Barn Owl? This bird was on
one of the cabbage trees at my neighbours. I don't know night birds at all
(except for the common Spotted Owlet in India), but the description of
the call comes closest to that one. On the other hand, it could just be a
disgruntled Rainbow Lorikeet or a Magpie. The last would be my best
guess.

Property was not made by government, but government by and for it. The one
is primary and self-existent; the other is secondary and derivative.

All government, indeed every human benefit and enjoyment, every virtue,
and every prudent act, is founded on compromise and barter. ... Man acts
from motives relative to his interests; and not on metaphysical
speculations.
