At the risk of appearing to be a complete drongo, I went today to have a look,
and couldn't find the spot let alone the bird! After scanning the locale for
dead trees, small flowering wattles, rows of lush dock growth, aerosol cans,
odd thongs, coffee cups described in various e-mails, I concluded that I must
have been in the wrong place. As for Paul Rose's white bucket - nup. Has
someone
done a litter run recently?

Anyhow, there were lots of Cattle Egrets (no Littles), moorhens, coots,
swamphens,
a Spotted Crake or two, Hardheads, Grey & Chestnut Teal, etc.... plus Dusky
Woodswallows, Mistletoebirds, Bell Miners, etc. Not a dead loss altogether,
but a bit frustrating!
