Hi all,

I spent the first week of October in Hattah and, as is often the case at that time of year, there were many many White-browed and Masked Woodswallows in the ratio 40:60.
They were busily selecting nest sites and some had started to build.
I've just come back from 3 days up there and I found it strange that the white-broweds were nesting everywhere but there were very few Masked and I didn't find any nests.
Are these "mixed" flocks really mixed or does each species act independently?
