Members of the Cuberland Bird Observers Club (Sydney) visited Stannix
Park, Baker's Lagoon and Pitt Town Lagoon today. Highlights were:
Stannix Park
Nesting White Throated Gerigones
Nesting Noisy Friarbirds
The many Sacred Kingfishers and Dollarbirds
Azure Kingfisher
Crested Shriketit
Cuckoos - Channel Billed seen, Brush, Pallid, Golden Bronze heard
Scarlet Honeyeater
Cornwallis Rd
Banded Lapwings near Windsor
Probable Australian Hobby
Rainbow Bee-eater
Baker's Lagoon
Latham's Snipe
Breeding Black Winged Stilts
Darter
Baillon's Crake
Pugh's Lagoon
Nankeen Night-heron
Pitt Town Lagoon
White Breasted Sea Eagle
Red Kneed Dotteral
Whiskered Terns (2) in breeding plumage
Sharp Tailed Sandpipers about 30 in the NW corner, too far away to look
for Pectorals
Greenshank
Total of 73 species for the day

others who have reported sightings in the area. Unfortunately we didn't
have time to check out all of them.
