Hi birders Found 'snipers' Joy and Marlene, staked out at the 'rubbish' pond in banyule wetlands today at 1pm just after they had a view of the bird in the reeds. Soon after at 1.10pm the painted snipe came out onto the mud and remained for 40 minutes with great views. Seemed to be enjoying the clearing and warming weather, and not disturbed by the nearby cricket and bike path. The ladies will provide a further report.
