Hmmm I can't say that I see grebe feet all that often, given that they are normally swimming and the only time their feet are out of the water is when they are engaging in a stern chase ["running" on top of the water]. You can't get a good look at their feet when they are off and running, but their frantic style is fun to watch - as is the loping waddle of the E coots. Now the coots' feet do look like leaves and their territorial chases are also fun to watch [and they have beady red eyes]. Regards, Laurie.
