If you were serious about resolving this issue surely you would be contacting the Australian Bird and Bat Banding Scheme for this information.  They coordinate all banding in Australia and it's territories.  If the banding were being done overseas they would have details pertaining to migrants that are likely to occur in Australia.

Don't shoot the messenger?  That's fine but it appears to some that by pursuing this issue through this public forum without, apparently, seeking the facts from those that have them is throwing more coals on the flames.
