Dear All Am I just pedantic, or is there a new species of Starling in the World. Congrat's to those who discovered it, the Mimicking Starling, Strenus vulgaris. I thought the whole point of Binomial Nomenclature was so that even if the common name was different in different parts of the world, the "scientific" name remained the same. The Common Starling up here in Qld, and in Victoria before I left, was and still is Sturnus vulgaris.
