Hello Brisbane birders,

Anyone visiting the Northlakes housing development lake to see the Baillon's
Crakes should keep a good lookout for snipe as well.
Yesterday, 21.09.2001, I flushed what appeared to be a snipe, possibly a
Latham's, from the edge of the lake not far from the birdhide.
Unfortunately, I couldn't make a positive ID but the general 'jizz' (shape and
flight) suggested Latham's Snipe.
