g'day all,
After reading that various Waders had arrived to the east coast I did a
check of 2 bays on the west side of Lake Moondarra this afternoon.
 
Waders recorded were ...
Sandpiper, Sharp-tailed  (80+)
Sandpiper, Marsh (2)
Greenshank (3)
 
Some other species recorded were....
Stork, Black-necked (2)
Swan, Black (30+) ... 2 pairs with 3 & 4 cygnets
Pygmy-goose, Green (4) ... Unusual for this side of the lake
Bustard, Australian (2)
Chat, Crimson  (3)
Chat, Orange  (20), ... 15 in male plumage
Dotterel, Red-capped  (2)
Dotterel, Red-kneed (2)
Pratincole, Australian (30+)
 
I have not yet seen this season any
Dollarbirds, Common Koels or Channel-billed Cuckoo's
