There is a regular colony of Yellow-rumped thornbills, along with red-browed finches and the local Brown Goshawk, inhabiting the strip of degenerate bush that runs north along Wolli Creek from about the bridge carrying Bexley Road as far as the Golf Course.

Hi all,

         I saw a single Yellow-rumped Thornbill near to Wolli Creek train station (Sydney) this morning from the train. I believe these birds are quite scarce now in the more urbanized areas closer to Sydney (they are relatively common in western Sydney).
