Visiting Aus

Hi everybody

My two great loves are birding & cricket & as we have just lost the Ashes 4-1 I guess I will stick to birding for a while. My partner Jane ( a non birder ) & I are visiting Aus between 7 Dec 01 & 6 Jan 02. We start in the Cairns area & after visiting Deniliquin spend Christmas in Melbourne & New Year in Sydney. I would be grateful for any information particularly re the Melbourne & Sydney areas. Having subscribed to birding -aus for some while I am keen to visit both Werribee Sewage Farm & Edithvale Wetlands when in the Melbourne area & the Capertee Valley & the Blue Mountains from Sydney. I hope some people can help as visiting Aus for the first time with so many stunning new birds to see is very exciting but rather daunting with relatively short time available in most areas.
