My sincere thanks to Paul Taylor, Rohan Clarke, Justin Jansen and Denise Goodfellow, and everyone else (I may have lost one or two messages) who kindly took the trouble to inform me about the Greater Noctule (the European bat which preys on small migrating birds in southern Spain) and the carnivorous Ghost Bat of Northern Australia. Next time I'm up north I shall make an effort to meet some Ghost Bats, they seem very interesting creatures. I understand that in tropical South America there are both bat-eating frogs and frog-eating bats.. Thanks again, Anthea Fleming in Ivanhoe, Vic.
