Mike Carter and Val Ford note the observation of an Osprey near Shoreham on the
Mornington Peninsula.

This will only be the 23rd record for the species in Victoria (Atlas of
Victorian Wildlife data).  The only other observation near Melbourne was from
Werribee Sewage Farm a number of years ago.  Most recorsd are coastal but there
is one from Barmah Forest on the Murray near Echuca in the 1990s.

I encourage Val to forward full details for inclusion in the Atlas.
