from Column 8 today.... Growing bonsai trees is the new hobby of Rod Nathan, of Cherrybrook. Until this week he had been lovingly tending three trees. But on Sunday, reports his wife, Pat, "we were disturbed by a crash and rushed to the window to see a rather surprised currawong drop one, which it had uprooted and attempted to fly off with." By Monday only one tree, a pine, remained. "Are currawongs secret cultivators of bonsai?" she asks.
