from Column 8 today....

Growing bonsai trees is the new hobby of Rod Nathan, of Cherrybrook. Until
this week he had been lovingly tending three trees. But on Sunday, reports
his wife, Pat, "we were disturbed by a crash and rushed to the window to see
a rather surprised currawong drop one, which it had uprooted and attempted
to fly off with." By Monday only one tree, a pine, remained. "Are currawongs
secret cultivators of bonsai?" she asks.
