On Sat. July 14th there we counted a thousand Plumed Whistling-Ducks standing and sitting around two small dams on the west side of the New England Highway about 2km sw of Yarraman just north of the Yarraman-Torong Rd. Have not seen these since Darwin & Kakadu last year, are they a common feature of the landscape in SW Qld.?
