Thank you to those people who have replied to my message about the Swift/Regent Workshops, however I apologise to those of you who have tried to reply to my email address, only to have it bounce back. THE SWIFT PARROT AND REGENT HONEYEATER RECOVERY TEAMS Invite you and all your bird watching friends to come along to a SWIFT PARROT & REGENT HONEYEATER WORKSHOP SATURDAY 21ST JULY 2001 - CANBERRA and SATURDAY 28TH JULY 2001 – CENTRAL COAST The Workshop will include: · Training on identification of Swift Parrots and Regent Honeyeaters and their habitats · Report back on results of last year's surveys & recovery activities · How crucial volunteers are to the recovery process · Illustrated talk by Recovery Team members, Debbie Saunders (Swift Parrot) & David Geering (Regent Honeyeater), who study the ecology of these birds and coordinate the surveys · Training on field data recording including the use of GPS/map reading We'll provide you with a workshop folder as well as a light lunch & morning/afternoon tea. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and binoculars!
