I walked from Wattamolla to Eagle Rock in the Royal National Park yesterday.
Fine & sunny and plenty of nice birds. Highlights for me were 2 Beautiful
Firetails feeding in Allocasuarina distyla, Chestnut-rumped Heathwren very
close to the cliff edge, constant singing (or flute playing) of
Tawny-crowned Honeyeaters, Rock Warblers at two locations by water's edge,
Eastern Reef Egret being hassled by Silver Gulls, and White-fronted Terns
close in.
A pair of Rock Warblers passed food from one to the other. I wonder if this
was a courtship signal. I am not sure of the breeding time of this bird.

I was surprised when two Pacific Herons flew over going south. I have not
seen this species before in the park although it does get a mention in Steve
Anyon-Smith's book.
