I thought I'd better get my submission tally past one.
The usual wintering flocks of Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoos have been
gathering around Geelong lately. For anyone who keeps this sort of
data, there were 70-80 birds in a flock flying over Newcomb on Sat
9th June at about 4pm. On Sat 16th there was a smaller flock,
probably 45-50 birds, flying over Latrobe Terrace near Kardinia Park
at about 1 pm (obviously on the way to see the Cats and Dogs fight it
out).
There have also been small groups of Gang Gangs and Sulphur-crested
Cockatoos all over town (fairly usual) but haven't seen any Corellas
here for a couple of months.
