After Stuart Cooney's note about frequent flyer points for Vic Birdline contributors

Speaking of regular contributors, we now recognise our regular contributors through the awarding of stars for >levels of contribution. The first two people to be awarded stars, for helping Birdline Victoria to be so >successful, are Mike Carter and Chris Coleborn. Thanks to you both for your input in the last 9 months. I thought I'd better get my submission tally past one.

The usual wintering flocks of Yellow-tailed Black-Cockatoos have been gathering around Geelong lately. For anyone who keeps this sort of data, there were 70-80 birds in a flock flying over Newcomb on Sat 9th June at about 4pm. On Sat 16th there was a smaller flock, probably 45-50 birds, flying over Latrobe Terrace near Kardinia Park at about 1 pm (obviously on the way to see the Cats and Dogs fight it out). There have also been small groups of Gang Gangs and Sulphur-crested Cockatoos all over town (fairly usual) but haven't seen any Corellas here for a couple of months.
