Morning bird-walk in the rain down Merri Creek bikepath Clifton Hill (6 km from Melbourne GPO) produced 30 species, fewer than usual, with 3 Gang-gangs flying over the highlight. Only my second sighting here, the last being 28-3-98. Also unusual - a Great Egret, just upstream of the Eastern Freeway overpass.
