Michael Norris and Philip Veerman mentioned a BOCA sparrow survey in Melbourne, but Philip was unsure what happened to the survey. The results were published in The Bird Observer, December 1981, No. 599, page 104, and include conclusions on habitats and nesting behaviour. Interim notes had been published in No. 514, September 1974. Apparently the study was overtaken by the 1974 Atlas and was therefore not as detailed as had been hoped. Regards, Tania.
