Two nice sightings this weekend in the Sydney area:

Saturday 2 June Maroubra south of the surf club in the messy area where workmen have created larger ponds - one Brown Quail. NOTHING interesting from Magic Point, not even a Crested Tern, which were on the rock by the southern end of the beach.

Sunday 3 June Homebush Bay survey - one Buff-banded Rail at Haslams Creek, plus a female
                Musk Duck feeding.

In addition
also at Homebush A Restless Flycatcher hovering over the water on 2SM Pond, taking insects from
                very near the surface.
White-breasted Sea Eagles working on their nest in the Woodland reserve - one was
seen off by an A. Raven.
