In a real estate magazine I obtained this week, I read about a master plan to make the surrounding area of what looks to be Collieroy Dam (near Newcastle, central coast NSW), a golf course with conference etc etc. I guess we don't have enough golf courses here!!!. This lake usually has upto 20 regular breeding Comb-crested Jacanas and and other water birds. The surrounding woodland has Brown Treecreepers and good numbers of Grey-crowned Babblers.

Can anybody shed further light to this?

The real estate magazine featuring a picture of this lake, is the "Home Pictorial - Real Estate Buying Guide" - Wednesday May 30 to Tuesday June 5, 2001.
