Having recently mentioned about my Blacktown Shire
bird list, I would be happy to hear from anyone who has any interesting
sightings of birds, mammals, reptiles and frogs in this region (not
necessarily those that are unusual only to Sydney). This shire stretches from
Shanes Park in the west, Seven Hills to the east, Riverstone to the north and
Prospect Reservoir/Eastern Creek to the south. Though a quite populated shire,
there is still significant tracts of bushland within, containing habitat for
several of our endangered/vulnerable woodland birds - Square-tailed Kite, Swift
Parrots, Jacky Winter, Speckled Warblers, Black-chinned Honeyeater etc.
Thanks
Edwin
