Stubble Quail??

Dear Mike,

Not long ago I was in a car with a friend of mine (Balcombe Rd, Beaumaris,
nearest crossroad Reserve Rd. ) when a bird crossed the road very quickly
and disappeared into the bush area surrounding the golf course.
I am almost certain that was a quail, but not sure which kind. I think that
it may have been a Stubble Quail, as I remember seeing visible signs of
orange near throat. My friend (who is not a bird watcher) refused to stop.
Given that I couldn't be sure as to what kind of quail it was I didn't
report it. The signs of orange were clear and that's what makes me think
that here in Beaumaris (not so fair from Edithvale) we may have a
"possible" sighting of a stubble quail.
Does anybody know of some quail sightings around this area?
I would love to go back to that golf course some time next week (some body
interested in joeing me?)

Kind Regards.
Alex Farias
